Corn Fritters

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- pepper
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1 1/2 cups cream-style corn
- 3 cups cooking oil, for frying
Recipe
- 1 mix first seven ingredients together until smooth.
- 2 fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and cream corn.
- 3 heat vegetable oil to 375°f.
- 4 use 1 tablespoon of batter per fritter and drop into hot oil.
- 5 as they rise to the top and turn golden brown, turn them over.
- 6 drain on paper towels.
- 7 serve hot or cold.
