Corn Fritters

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 egg yolks, beaten
  • 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups cream-style corn
  • 3 cups cooking oil, for frying

Recipe

  • 1 mix first seven ingredients together until smooth.
  • 2 fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and cream corn.
  • 3 heat vegetable oil to 375°f.
  • 4 use 1 tablespoon of batter per fritter and drop into hot oil.
  • 5 as they rise to the top and turn golden brown, turn them over.
  • 6 drain on paper towels.
  • 7 serve hot or cold.
