Crazy Nachos

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked lamb or 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup fresh tomato (diced)
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce (shredded)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped (optional)
  • 4 tostadas
  • 1/2 cup picante sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced jalapeno
  • 1 lime (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 place tostada shells on cookie sheet in 425 degree oven, bake for 2 minutes.
  • 2 remove shells from oven add 1/2 cup of cheese on each shell.
  • 3 put 1/2 cup of meat on cheese.
  • 4 put 1/2 cup of cheese on meat.
  • 5 return shells to oven just to let the cheese melt.
  • 6 put shells on plate, then add lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sliced japalenos and picante sauce.
  • 7 squeeze fresh lime juice on top (optional).

Crazy Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups yellow cornmeal
  • 1 1/4 cups white flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cooked pumpkin
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3/4 cup diced green pepper
  • 1/3 cup diced red onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3/4 cup canned red beans, drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your choice)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325.
  • 2 combine the first 5 ingredients.
  • 3 in a second bowl mix eggs, milk, pumpkin, oil and honey.
  • 4 stir the wet into the dry.
  • 5 stir in the veggies and beans.
  • 6 pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan.
  • 7 sprinkle the cheese on top.
  • 8 bake for 25- 30 minutes.
  • 9 watch and you may need to cover with tinfoil, so cheese doesn't get overdone.

Cream Cheese And Crab Wontons

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1/4 lb imitation crabmeat
  • garlic powder
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 (16 ounce) package wonton wrappers
  • 1 teaspoon butter or 1 teaspoon margarine
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • sweet and sour sauce (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 in a skillet melt butter over med heat.
  • 2 add crab and onion.
  • 3 when well heated and starting shred, remove from heat.
  • 4 place cream cheese in medium-sized mixing bowl.
  • 5 add garlic powder and pepper.
  • 6 pour heated crab and onion mixture; combine well.
  • 7 in a frypan heat vegetable oil (medium-high).
  • 8 spoon small amounts into wonton wrappers.
  • 9 fold up and drop into heated oil.
  • 10 cook until golden brown.
  • 11 serve warm with sweet and sour sauce.

Crazy Rice - Brazilian

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 cups long-grain white rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water (or more)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter, unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 slices bacon, cut into 1/4-inch slivers
  • 1/2 medium red onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and minced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, medium, stemmed, seeded, and cut into 1/4-inch dice
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, medium, stemmed, seeded, and cut into 1/4-inch dice
  • 1/2 cup corn kernel, cooked
  • 1/4 cup raisins, dark
  • 1/4 cup raisins, golden
  • 3 tablespoons italian parsley, chopped
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 place the rice in a large bowl and add cold water to cover by 3 inches. swirl the rice around with your fingers until the water becomes cloudy, then pour through a strainer to drain. repeat the process until the water remains clear. this will take 4 to 6 rinsings.
  • 2 place the rice in a large, heavy pot. add enough water to cover the rice by 3/4 inch (about 2 1/2 cups). stir in the salt and butter and bring the rice to a boil over high heat. tightly cover the pan, reduce the heat to low, and cook the rice until tender, about 18 minutes, but check after 15 minutes: if the rice is too wet, set the cover ajar to allow some of the liquid to evaporate; if too dry, add 2 to 3 tablespoons water. remove the pot from the heat and let the rice stand, covered, for 5 minutes. fluff it with a fork and set aside.
  • 3 meanwhile, prepare the flavorings. heat the oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. add the bacon and cook until lightly browned, about 4 minutes. pour off all but 2 tablespoons fat. add the onion, garlic, bell peppers, corn, both raisins, and the parsley. cook until the onion begins to brown, about 5 minutes. stir the rice into the vegetable mixture and cook until thoroughly heated, about 2 minutes. correct the seasoning, adding salt and black pepper as needed.

  • 3/4 lb butter
  • 6 cups onions, chopped
  • 2 cups green peppers, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups white
  • 4 lbs crawfish tail meat
  • 1 scallion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon kitchen bouquet

Recipe

  • 1 in large heavy pot, melt butter and saute onions, celery, green pepper and garlic until soft.
  • 2 stir in salt, black and cayenne pepper, sugar and tomato paste.
  • 3 simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
  • 4 dissolve cornstarch in water; add to mixture.
  • 5 cook for 20 minutes or until sauce thickens.
  • 6 add crayfish, green onion and kitchen bouquet.
  • 7 refrigerate overnight.
  • 8 reheat and serve over rice.
  • 9 don't overcook.
  • 10 boiling crayfish: discard any dead crayfish in the sack.
  • 11 wash crayfish in clean, cool water just before cooking.
  • 12 they do not need to be purged with salt during washing.
  • 13 place the live crayfish in boiling water and boil for 10 minutes. (season the water with one pound of salt per five gallons of water.
  • 14 add other seasoning to taste, including cayenne, garlic, onions, lemons, lemon juice and crab boil.) don't begin timing cooking until watter returns to a buil after adding crayfish.
  • 15 it's usual to add potatoes and corn on the cob to the boil.
  • 16 crayfish are easiest to peel when still warm.

Crazy Rich, Creamy Double-garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cut into large chunks (russet or other baking potato)
  • 5 garlic cloves, whole and peeled
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped (optional)
  • 1/4-1/2 cup whole milk or 1/4-1/2 cup half-and-half or 1/4-1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 -5 tablespoons creme fraiche (or sour cream or whipping cream)

  • 2 -3 tablespoons chopped chives (or thinly sliced green onions)

Recipe

  • 1 cook the potatoes and the whole garlic cloves in water to cover over med-high heat until tender, for about 15-20 minutes.
  • 2 drain the potatoes and cooked garlic cloves, and either mash them or put through a ricer or sieve.
  • 3 heat the milk until form around the edge, then pour into the potatoes and mix together, over med-low heat; then beat in the butter and crème fraiche, and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Crazy Dipped Pretzels And Chips

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate or 1 cup milk chocolate or 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
  • 16 pretzel rods, pretzel twists, whole-wheat pretzel sticks or 16 rippled potato chips
  • semi sweet miniature chocolate chip
  • white chocolate miniature chocolate chip
  • candy sprinkles, of choice

Recipe

  • 1 line baking sheets with wax paper.
  • 2 microwave 1 cup morsels and vegetable shortening in small, dry, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on medium-high (70%) power for 1 minute; stir. the morsels may retain some of their original shape. if necessary, microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted.
  • 3 dip chips and/or pretzels into melted morsels, tilting bowl to easily dip. (i use a measuring cup.) use side of bowl to remove excess. place on prepared baking sheets. sprinkle with toppers. refrigerate for 15 - 20 minutes or until set. store in airtight container at room temperture. potato chips are best when eaten within a few hours of preparation.
  • 4 pretzels and chips may be dipped and drizzled in any variety of melted chocolate for different looks. for example, dip them in semi-sweet chocolate and drizzle them with melted white morsels. or dip them in milk chocolate and drizzle them with melted semi-sweet chocolate. don't forget the sprinkles--that's the best part!

Easy Rib Eye Roast

  • preheat an oven to 500 degrees f (260 degrees c).
  • beat butter and garlic together in a bowl. poke several holes in roast with a sharp knife. rub butter mixture all over roast and season meat with salt and black pepper. place roast, fat-side up, in a roasting pan.
  • roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, reduce heat to 325 degrees f (165 degrees c), and continue cooking until roast is reddish-pink and juicy in the center, 1 1/2 to 2 hours. an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 145 degrees f (63 degrees c).

  • 11 place on greased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 12 serve with strawberry jam or canadian honey.
  • 13 yields 10-12 biscuits.

Cream Caramel (no Bake)

Ingredients

  • 500 g heavy cream
  • 550 g mixed fruit
  • 500 g cake
  • 12 butterscotch candies
  • 1 teaspoon coffee
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup caramel

Recipe

  • 1 make small square of cake and place them in a serving dish. its better that cake should be a day stale.
  • 2 open the tin of fruit mix, take some juice and pour over the cake, just soak a bit. reserve remaing juice and fruits. leave them for 10 minutes until cake absorb the juice.
  • 3 now prepare your cream, beat the cream until soft peaks forms, add coffee diluted with 2sp of water, then add grinded butter scotch toffee, beat more 2 minutes, now add half cup condensed milk and the remaining juice, beat more 5 minutes, set aside.
  • 4 now again come to your cake, spread the layer of chopped walnut evenly on the cake, now the turn of remaining fruit, spread them too evenly on the walnut layer and lastly the crushed caramel.
  • 5 at the end spread cream all over the layered cake evenly, so that it is fully covered.
  • 6 chill it for 2 hours, before serving decorate it with some fruits and crushed caramel.

Crazy Oven Fried Fish Filets (nutty That Is!)

  • 1 cup fine breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup peanuts (finely chopped)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 teaspoons lite olive oil (or other)
  • 1 lb fish fillet (cod, sole, blue hoki, orange roughy, whatever)
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 combine peanuts and bread crumbs, salt& pepper.
  • 2 mix oil with beaten eggs.
  • 3 pat the fish filets dry.
  • 4 dip filets in the eggs then the crumbs.
  • 5 place on a greased baking sheet.
  • 6 bake uncovered in 450f degrees oven for 6 minutes (depending on the thickness of your filets, check when they are flaky to touch) turn over and bake a further 1-3 minutes.

Crazy Mixed-up Mile High Leftover Turkey Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices good bread
  • 1 slice cold cooked turkey
  • 4 tablespoons cold prepared stuffing
  • 4 -5 small cold cooked white pearl onions
  • 3 -4 tablespoons cooked turnips, mashed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cranberry-orange relish
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 put mayonnaise on both slices of bread.
  • 2 arrange pieces of cold turkey on top of one slice of bread.
  • 3 place stuffing on top of the turkey.
  • 4 add the boiled onions.
  • 5 add the cranberry-orange relish on top of onions.
  • 6 spread the turnip evenly on the other slice of bread.
  • 7 sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • 8 put the slice of bread with the turnip on top of the other piled-high goodies.
  • 9 cut in half and place on a plate.
  • 10 enjoy!

  • 1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade, thawed
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil or 2 1/2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 if using fresh basil, cut into thin strips.
  • 2 mix all ingredients.
  • 3 to use: pour about 1/2 of the marinade over 2 pounds of lamb chops or chicken breasts, cover& refrigerate at least 1 hour but no more than 2 hours; this reserves 1/2 of the marinade for a basting sauce while cooking.

mushroom meatloaf with glaze

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • meatloaf:
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup finely chopped mushroom
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • glaze:
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

Recipe

    Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 5 hrs 15 mins

    Ready Time: 5 hrs 45 mins

  • mix onion, mushroom, milk, bread crumbs, eggs, and salt together in a large bowl. break ground beef into small pieces and add to onion mixture; stir. shape the beef mixture into a round loaf and place into a 5-quart slow cooker.
  • cook on low until no longer pink in the center, 5 to 6 hours. an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees f (70 degrees c).
  • whisk ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, and worcestershire sauce together in a small bowl; spoon over the meatloaf.
  • continue cooking glazed meatloaf until the glaze is warmed, about 15 minutes.
  • remove meatloaf to a cutting board and let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 1 bottle chili sauce
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 can sauerkraut, drained (average size can)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water

Recipe

  • 1 in large bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, and onion soup mix.
  • 2 form into meatballs.
  • 3 place in 9x13" pan.
  • 4 in saucepan, combine chili sauce, cranberry sauce, sauerkraut, brown sugar and water.
  • 5 simmer over low heat till mixed.
  • 6 pour over meatballs.
  • 7 bake at 325 for 2 hours.

Cream Cheese & Deviled Ham Dip / Spread With A Twist

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (4 1/2 ounce) can deviled ham
  • 1/4 cup dry red
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1 teaspoon instant minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • cracker

Recipe

  • 1 beat cream cheese, deviled ham and in small mixer bowl until creamy.
  • 2 stir in remaining ingredients.
  • 3 serve immediately as a dip or refrigerate to serve as a spread.

Crazy Good Meatloaf (finally) !

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2-3/4 cup breadcrumbs (mine were homemade, but not too coarse)
  • 3/4 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ground horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh garlic (1-2 cloves)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon grill seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon blackening seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon sweet basil (measurement is for dried)
  • 1 pinch caribbean rub seasoning (not jerk)
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar (really should be balsamic)

Recipe

  • 1 for loaf:.
  • 2 mix all ingredients by hand until everything is well incorporated.
  • 3 put in large loaf pan (or 2 smaller loaf pans) leaving 1/2-1" gap on one end for grease to drain to.
  • 4 or for muffins, form meat mixture packed & rounded into each muffin space (makes approximately 10 regular sized muffins, usually 2 per person). do place over a cookie sheet so that you don't have grease drip your oven.
  • 5 generously brush on glaze to top(s).
  • 6 for loaf: bake at 350 approx 1 hours.
  • 7 for "muffins": bake at 350 for approx 30-40 minutes.
  • 8 or until meat tests done in center at 160-170 degrees.
  • 9 serve with a side of the glaze, & use any leftover glaze with leftovers.
  • 10 suggest serving with my: absolutely great, simple, secret mashed potatoes #300049.

  • 2 butter baking sheet or square baking pan.
  • 3 sift first 4 ingredients into large bowl.
  • 4 fold in enough cream to make soft dough that can be handled easily.
  • 5 turn out floured board and knead about 1 minute.
  • 6 pat to 1/2- 3/4 inch thickness.
  • 7 cut into rounds or squares, dip in melted butter and place on baking sheet (do not crowd; biscuits should not touch).
  • 8 bake until golden, about 15- 18 minutes.
  • 9 serve hot.

  • 1 cup cottage cheese, small curd
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 2 cups flour
  • melted butter
  • cinnamon
  • sugar

Recipe

  • 1 cream cottage cheese.
  • 2 add margarine, beat well.
  • 3 add flour.
  • 4 chill at least 3 hours, (overnight is better).
  • 5 divide dough into 2 parts.
  • 6 roll out on floured board into circles.
  • 7 brush with melted butter.
  • 8 sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  • 9 cut with pizza cutter into 6-8 wedges.
  • 10 roll like butterhorns.
  • 11 place seam side down on lightly greased sheet.
  • 12 bake at 375* for 20 minutes.

Crazy Choco Papad (poppadum)

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 pappadams, roasted (or fried roasted is better coz fried papad is realllly fattening!)
  • 1 teaspoon coffee
  • 2 -3 tablespoons cocoa powder or 2 -3 tablespoons drinking chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 -2 tablespoon milk
  • 1 -2 grated chocolate, biscuit or 1 -2 any chocolate cookies

Recipe

  • 1 mix all the ingredients for the sauce together.
  • 2 dont make the batter too thin,it should be thick but smooth.
  • 3 mix the sauce continuosly.
  • 4 you can chill the sauce if you want to.
  • 5 but make sure its nice and thick.
  • 6 fry/roast the papad.
  • 7 dip the papad in the sauce.
  • 8 bite into it!

  • 1 sift into an ungreased 9x13" cake pan the flour, sugar, baking soda and cocoa, blend well. make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the oil, vinegar and vanilla. pour the water over all the ingredients and mix with a fork untill smooth and well blended, making sure to get into the corners. bake at 350º for 20 to 25 minutes or until the center springs bake when tapped or a toothpick inserted comes out clean. cool completely and frost as desired.
  • 2 frosting.
  • 3 melt the butter and stir in the cocoa. alternating between the two, mix in the milk and powdered sugar. beat to spreading consistency; adding more milk or sugar as needed. stir in the vanilla. makes about 2 cups frosting.

Crazy John's Carrot And Turnip Gratin

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb carrot, peeled and shredded
  • 3/4 lb turnip, peeled and shredded
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced scallion top (not bulb)
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or 1/2 cup half-and-half or 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Recipe

  • 1 butter a shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish or a 10-inch round or oval gratin dish and set aside.
  • 2 in a large mixing bowl, toss together carrots, turnips, scallion greens, parsley and 3 tablspoons of cornstarch.
  • 3 spread vegetable mixture in prepared pan, pressing and smoothing it into place.
  • 4 in a small saucepan, dissolve remaiing cornstarch in 1/4 cup of the milk.

  • 12 (gratin can be prepared 24 hours ahead to this point and refrigerated.) dot gratin with butter and make in the middle of a preheated 375f oven for 45 minutes, or until it is bubbling through a golden crust.
  • 13 let gratin stand 10 minutes before serving to crisp crust and allow custard to set.

Crazy Spumoni

  • 1 1/2 quarts vanilla ice cream
  • 10 dried apricots, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons apricot jam
  • 1 almond biscotti, crushed
  • 2 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 1 tablespoon amaretto liqueur
  • 1/4 cup almonds, toasted and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

Recipe

  • 1 use a knife to cut the ice cream into three equal pieces. place the ice cream in three large mixing bowls to soften slightly.
  • 2 line a loaf pan with parchment paper or plastic wrap.
  • 3 mix the dried apricots, apricot preserves, and biscotti with a third of the ice cream and press into the bottom of the loaf pan. place in freezer while preparing the next layer.
  • 4 mix the chocolate bar pieces, chocolate syrup, and amaretto with another third of the ice cream. gently spread on top of the first layer in the loaf pan. place in freezer while preparing the last layer.
  • 5 mix the almonds and almond extract with the last of the ice cream. gently spread the final layer on top of the loaf pan.
  • 6 allow ice cream to harden in freezer for at least two hours.
  • 7 remove from loaf pan and slice when ready to serve. top with a dollop of whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder.

Cream Cheese Pie

  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 (10 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping, such as cool whip
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans pie filling
  • 2 graham cracker pie crust

Recipe

  • 1 take cream cheese out of the refridgerator before you begin, and bring to room temperature for a smoother pie. take the plastic cover off the crusts, remove the paper insert, and save to cover pies.
  • 2 in a bowl, beat together on medium to high speed: cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk (shake well before adding, scrape the bottom of the can), and lemon juice until smooth.
  • 3 add cool whip, and beat on low until ingredients are blended.
  • 4 transfer mixture into graham cracker crusts, putting half of mixture in each crust, or all into one deep dish crust.

  • preheat oven to 400 degrees f (200 degrees c).

  • 1 butter a square 8x8 pan.
  • 2 combine sugar, corn syrup, butter and half of the cream in a large heavy saucepan.
  • 3 heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  • 4 stir in remaining cream.
  • 5 cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, to 245 degrees f on a candy thermometer.
  • 6 (be patient. this takes a while, but to achieve the correct consistency you don't want to reach this point to quickly.) immediately spread mixture evenly in prepared pan.

Crazy Coconut Juice Drink

Crazy Crab & Shrimp Dip

Crazy Gingerbread (with Lemon Sauce)

  • 1 1/2 cups flour, plus
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3/4 cup water

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375º.
  • 2 in an ungreased 8x8 inch pan, stir together all dry ingredients.
  • 3 with a spoon, make three "wells" in the dry ingredients. in one "well" put the vinegar, in another the oil, and in the third the vanilla.
  • 4 mix the water and molasses in a separate bowl. pour over the dry ingredients and mix quickly with a fork. mix until lumps are gone, but do not beat.
  • 5 bake at 375º for about 30 minutes.
  • 6 cut and serve from baking pan, with lemon sauce, applesauce, or whipped cream.
  • 7 see my recipe for "lemon sauce" at this site. the contrasting lemon flavor and moistness added by the sauce is what adds the finishing touch to this cake, making it suitable for a company dessert!

Crazy Onions

Recipe

  • 1 slice onions into rings and sautee in 4 tablespoons of butter until translucent.
  • 2 put the onions in a casserole dish. top with a lot of ground pepper and the swiss cheese.
  • 3 heat the soup, milk, and soy sauce and then pour the mixture evenly over the onions.
  • 4 spread the remaining butter on the bread and cut into 1 inch cubes. put the cubes on top of the casserole butter side up.
  • 5 bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until the bread gets dark golden. serve warm.

Cream Cake

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons light cream or 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 beat eggs in small bowl until very thick.
  • 3 add sugar and vanilla.
  • 4 beat well.
  • 5 measure flour, baking powder, and salt into another bowl.
  • 6 stir.
  • 7 add cream to batter in 2 parts alternately with flour mixture in 3 parts, beginning and ending with dry mixture.
  • 8 pour into greased 9x9 inch pan.
  • 9 bake in oven for 30-40 minutes unil an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • 10 icing: beat all ingredients together in bowl until smooth.
  • 11 add more liquid or icing sugar as needed.

  • yellow mustard

  • 1 boil a pot of water. while waiting for water to boil husk the corn. cook corn for at least 20 minutes. allow to cool for a minute or two. when ready to serve take a butter knife and spread on mayo, then mustard and sprinkle with cheese. use your own judgement.

Crawfish Or Shrimp Cheesecake

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 for crust: in a medium bowl, combine parmesan, bread crumbs, and melted butter. press parmesan mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. set aside.
  • 3 in a medium skillet, cook onion and sweet peppers in hot oil over medium heat for 2 minutes. add salt and black pepper. cook and stir for 1 minute more. remove from heat; set aside.
  • 4 for filling: in a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and gouda with an electric mixer until smooth. add eggs; beat just until combined. do not overbeat. stir in the onion mixture, crawfish tails with juice or shrimp and whipping cream.
  • 5 pour filling into crust. bake in preheated oven for 1 to 1-1/4 hours or until center appears nearly set when shaken. cool on a wire rack for 1 hour. cover; chill at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
  • 6 to serve, remove sides of pan. with a warm knife, cut into wedges. serve with crackers or toasted baguette slices.

Crazy French Toast

  • 1 large eggplant
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • butter (for frying) or coconut oil (for frying)

Recipe

  • 1 peel and slice the eggplant thinly, around 1/8”-1/4”. you won’t be able to cook them thoroughly if you slice them too thick. i learned that the hard way. eggplants do not taste good al’dente.
  • 2 pierce the eggplants with a fork (to let the batter seep in) and sprinkle them with salt. dry them off after 5 minutes.
  • 3 while you prepare the other ingredients, heat up a skillet over medium heat. make sure not to put the heat to high, or you will burn them before they cook thorough.
  • 4 wisk all of the ingredients together and start dipping the eggplant in the batter.
  • 5 fry them for a few minutes on each side and until they eggplant is completely softened.
  • 6 *optional: 1 tbs savory spice instead of cinnamon and pumpkin.

Crazy Cranberry Bars

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 in a 13 x 9 pan melt butter in oven.

Crawfish Pie

  • 1 lb crayfish tail, chopped
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 dash worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup italian style breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 heat butter, saute crawfish and vegetables, cook 20 minutes.
  • 2 add tomatoes, celery soup, chopped eggs, and bread crumbs.
  • 3 spoon into unbaked tart shells or large pie crust.
  • 4 bake at 350 until browned about 30 minutes.
  • 5 note: i use my food processor to chop the tomatoes and eggs together then mix the soup with them it blends it up better.

Cream Cake With Raisin Or Fig Filling

  • 2 preheat oven to 350 degrees (this is a guess).
  • 3 cream sugar and butter.
  • 4 add eggs; beat well.
  • 5 sift together flour and baking powder.
  • 6 add milk and flour mixture to egg mixture and beat well.
  • 7 bake in three layers until cake tests done. (this could mean 'cake leaves sides of pan', 'toothpick comes out clean', or the fingerprint test.) (the baking time below is from the back of a cake mix.).
  • 8 for the fillings there are no instructions, just the above ingredients enclosed in brackets to show what gets mixed together.
  • 9 the original recipe calls for "sweet cream stirred thick" so let's say "whip heavy cream to soft peaks". add sugar and any flavor your heart desires.
  • 10 for the raisin filling it says "to 2/3 cup sugar add enough water to boil up well".
  • 11 stir in raisins.
  • 12 for the fig filling it says "stewed with 2/3 cup sugar and very little water".
  • 13 i think this means just enough water to dissolve that much sugar.
  • 14 i would cool the fruit syrup mixture before i added it to the cream mixture.

Crazy Fusilli

  • 2 pomegranates
  • 3 small shallots, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup white
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 100 g prosciutto, diced
  • 150 g smoked ham, cut in slices
  • 375 g fusilli
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 cut pomegranates in half. extract the juice of one pomegranate and keep the seeds from the other one. the seeds of the pomegranate are edible.
  • 2 in a saucepan, brown the shallots in 2 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil. deglaze with the , the juice of pomegranate and the chicken stock. reduce a few minutes. add seeds of pomegranate and cook about 3 minutes. add prosciutto and ham. remove from heat and set aside.
  • 3 in another saucepan ,cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. drain. add pasta to the sauce, remaining butter and thyme. add pepper. serve warm. delicious to serve with a dish of chicken.

Crazy Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 8 tablespoons minced onions
  • 4 green onions, chopped fine
  • 3 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 3/4 cup chunky salsa (any brand, flavor or heat, i like mild)
  • 1 cup cashews, crushed fine
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, salted and hulled
  • 2 bell peppers, chopped fine (one red and one green)

Recipe

  • 1 put everything in the food processor, except the nuts and sunflower seeds, and blend until smooth.
  • 2 fold in the nuts and sunflower seeds.
  • 3 serve with chips, crackers or good hard vegetables.

Crazy Delicious Chocolate Slice

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 1.5 (250 g) packets biscuits (i used a packet of marie and half a packet of milk arrowroot)
  • 3 whole wheat biscuits (weetbix)
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 200 g milk chocolate
  • 130 g butter
  • 375 g condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup golden syrup

Recipe

  • 1 grease and line a baking tin (mine is 22cm by 30cm).
  • 2 crush the biscuits in a food processor, put into large mixing bowl and crush by hand the weetbix and add to bowl.
  • 3 in a large saucepan melt the rest of the ingredients together with a metal spoon.
  • 4 pour into mixing bowl and stir until mixed well; it will be thick.
  • 5 spoon into baking tin and put in fridge until set.
  • 6 cut up and enjoy!
  • 7 can put hundreds and thousands on top before putting in fridge.
  • 8 can also roll into balls rather than putting in baking tin.

  • 1/4 ounce yeast

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 -3 cups mozzarella cheese or 2 -3 cups parmesan cheese or 2 -3 cups other cheese, grated

  • 1 mix yeast into warm water.
  • 2 in separate bowl, combine flour and salt.
  • 3 add the oil to the water, and add these liquids to the dry ingredients.
  • 4 knead for 7 or 8 minutes, then let rest for about 10. keep it under a cloth while resting, in a warm place.
  • 5 while it's resting you can make the garlic sauce. melt the margarine, and mix in the rest of the ingredients. put to the side.
  • 6 roll dough out into a rectangle shape.
  • 7 cut into strips of desired length, and brush on garlic sauce.
  • 8 stick into a proof box for about 15 minutes. if you do not have a proof box, try to put the pans of dough in the warmest (not hot!) spot in your kitchen, such as nearby an oven. or if you live in a hot place like florida, put them in your car for a bit.
  • 9 once they grow a little, throw them into the oven at about 425°. check on them after 10 minutes and pull them out when they turn a nice golden brown.
  • 10 brush more of the sauce on, lightly, and sprinkle with the grated cheese. best enjoyed warm. :).

  • 1 small onion, chopped fine
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce or 1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
  • 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese or 2 cups pizza cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2 grease and flour a pizza pan or 10 x 15 baking sheet (with sides).
  • 3 combine flour, salt, oregano, pepper, eggs and milk and mix well.
  • 4 pour batter in pan and tilt pan around until bottom of pan is evenly coated.

Crawfish Mirliton (chayote) Soup

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 lb crawfish tail
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 teaspoon crab boil
  • 4 mirlitons, chopped
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 stir dried herbs into broth and set aside.
  • 2 saute crawfish tails in butter until warm and cooked through.
  • 3 drain butter and crawfish juice into a pot. set crawfish aside for later.
  • 4 add onions, garlic, cayenne, and crab boil to butter and cook over low heat until onions are soft.
  • 5 add mirliton and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 6 pour broth into pot, cover, and simmer over low heat. 25 minutes for peeled mirliton, and 30 for unpeeled.
  • 7 use a food processor or blender to puree soup.
  • 8 return soup to low heat, and gradually add in crawfish tails. stir until tails are brought up to the soup's temperature.

Crazy Crater Chocolate Marshmallow Moon Cake

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup miniature marshmallow

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 in an 8" round cake pan, mix together the
  • 3 flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
  • 4 with a spoon, dig one 1 1/2" and two 3/4" holes in the flour mixture. put the oil in the big hole and vinegar and vanilla in the small holes.
  • 5 pour the milk over everything and mix to the consistency of mud.
  • 6 bake for 15 minutes, then sprinkle on the marshmallows. continue baking for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the center springs back when pressed lightly and the marshmallows have melted into tan "moon rocks" (hence the name of the recipe). set the pan on a rack to cool and serve right out of the pan.

  • 1 mix the first four ingredients in a bowl.
  • 2 form into small size meatballs and place in 9x13 pan.
  • 3 combine kraut, cranberry sauce, brown sugar and chili sauce in blender and blend until smooth.
  • 4 pour mixture over meatballs and bake covered at 350 degrees for 2 hours.

  • 2 i think the only way to make meatloaf is with your hands. using a mixer or other stirring implement always seemed to make the meatloaf tough.
