Cream Cake

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons light cream or 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 beat eggs in small bowl until very thick.
  • 3 add sugar and vanilla.
  • 4 beat well.
  • 5 measure flour, baking powder, and salt into another bowl.
  • 6 stir.
  • 7 add cream to batter in 2 parts alternately with flour mixture in 3 parts, beginning and ending with dry mixture.
  • 8 pour into greased 9x9 inch pan.
  • 9 bake in oven for 30-40 minutes unil an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • 10 icing: beat all ingredients together in bowl until smooth.
  • 11 add more liquid or icing sugar as needed.
