Cream Biscuits

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cream

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • 2 mix dry ingredients. quickly stir in cream.
  • 3 add more if necessary- dough should be soft, slightly sticky but manageable.
  • 4 turn out on lightly floured board.
  • 5 work into smooth round.
  • 6 pat or gently roll into rectangle.
  • 7 fold dough over 4 times.
  • 8 pat or roll into rectangle again. (this makes biscuits flaky and easy to seperate into layers).
  • 9 dough should be about 1/2" thick.
  • 10 cut with round cookie cutter or biscuit cutter.
  • 11 place on greased baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • 12 serve with strawberry jam or canadian honey.
  • 13 yields 10-12 biscuits.
