Cream Biscuits

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4-1 cup whipping cream
  • melted butter

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • 2 butter baking sheet or square baking pan.
  • 3 sift first 4 ingredients into large bowl.
  • 4 fold in enough cream to make soft dough that can be handled easily.
  • 5 turn out floured board and knead about 1 minute.
  • 6 pat to 1/2- 3/4 inch thickness.
  • 7 cut into rounds or squares, dip in melted butter and place on baking sheet (do not crowd; biscuits should not touch).
  • 8 bake until golden, about 15- 18 minutes.
  • 9 serve hot.
