Ingredients
- 3 cups cornmeal (white)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoons shortening
Recipe
- 1 mix ingredients and form into flat cakes about the size of your hand.
- 2 place on cookie sheet and bake at 425° until brown, about 25 minutes.
