Cornmeal Oven-fried Chicken

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley or 4 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
  • 3/4 cup garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 (3 -4 lb) broiler-fryer chickens, cut up and skin removed
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 in a large resealable plastic bag combine the first 9 ingredients.
  • 2 place the buttermilk in a shallow bowl.
