Cornmeal Griddle Cakes

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg whites
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • cooking spray

Recipe

  • 1 in a large bowl, combine dry ingredients.
  • 2 in a small bowl, whisk together yogurt, sour cream, egg and egg whites. stir in milk.
  • 3 pour into dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  • 4 coat a nonstick griddle with cooking spray. drop batter 2 tablespoons at a time griddle.
  • 5 cook, turning once until golden on both sides, 3-4 minutes.
