Crab And Corn Chowder

Total Time: 24 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 24 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 4 large potatoes (cooked and cubed)
  • 1 cup half-and-half cream
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup clam broth (bottled)
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans whole corn (save the juice)
  • 1 (8 ounce) can creamed corn
  • 1 1/2 lbs crabmeat

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in 6 quart pot.
  • 2 add onion,whole corn and half the crabmeat.
  • 3 cook till onions are clear.
  • 4 add clam broth,liquid from corn & creamed corn.
  • 5 bring to boil & add evap. milk & 1/2& 1/2.
  • 6 simmer (do not boil).
  • 7 add potatoes.
  • 8 add remainder of crabmeat the next day.
  • 9 cool in refrigerator and reheat the next day.
