Becky's Baked Ziti

Ingredients

- 1 lb ziti pasta
- 4 cups spaghetti sauce
- 15 ounces part-skim ricotta cheese
- 8 ounces low fat mozzarella, shredded
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 4 slices whole wheat bread
- 1/2-3/4 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- salt
- pepper
Recipe
- 1 soak bread in milk. add to ground turkey.
- 2 add parsley, salt and pepper. mix gently with hands, careful not to overmix.
- 3 form into meatballs and put on a cookie sheet. they will likely flatten out some - this is fine.
- 4 bake at 375 for 15 minutes, flipping at halftime.
- 5 meanwhile, cook ziti according to package directions.
- 6 heat pasta sauce in small pot. add approx 1/3 of the ricotta and stir till dissolved.
- 7 coat bottom of 3.5-4 quart casserole pan with sauce. add 1/2 of the cooked noodles.
- 8 place 1/2 of the meatballs on top.
- 9 dot 1/2 of the ricotta in between meat balls.
- 10 add layer of sauce.
- 11 sprinkle with 1/2 of the mozzarella.
- 12 repeat with noodles, meatballs, ricotta, sauce and mozzarella.
- 13 bake at 375 for 30 minute enjoy!
