Bittersweet Brownies

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 10 tablespoons hot melted butter
  • 2 cold eggs
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or 1 cup walnuts

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2 line an 8 x 8 inch baking pan with foil.
  • 3 combine cocoa, sugar, vanilla, salt, and melted buttter.
  • 4 mix with mixer until well combined. add eggs one at a time.
  • 5 add flour and mix until just blended. fold in nuts.
  • 6 spread evenly in lined baking dish.
  • 7 bake at 325 degrees for about 28 to 30 minutes.
  • 8 toothpick inserted in the center will be a little fudgy.
  • 9 cool brownies completely.
  • 10 lift from baking dish and remove the foil. cut into squares and serve.
