Baked Chicken W/ Light Sauce

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 -6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • oregano
  • basil
  • thyme
  • garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (i use garlic flavored)
  • 1 onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 3 -5 dashes tabasco sauce (to taste)

Recipe

  • 1 *justa note about the spices and herbs.
  • 2 i use dried herbs and i am very generous with them.
  • 3 this dish is great with a bit more garlic and basil.
  • 4 preheat oven to 375 degrees f.
  • 5 in baking dish, pour 1tbsp olive oil.
  • 6 add soy sauce, worcestershire sauce and tabasco (about 1tsp).
  • 7 toss in onions and mix until coated.
  • 8 rinse chicken, dry lightly and sprinkle with oregano, basil, thyme and garlic powder.
  • 9 in frying pan, heat remaining olive oil.
  • 10 brown chicken.
  • 11 place chicken on top of onion mixture.
  • 12 cover with foil and place in oven.
  • 13 bake 20-30 minutes until chicken is done.
  • 14 remove foil and let chicken brown a bit more.
  • 15 serve chicken with onions and sauce over top.
