Apidea - Greek Pear Dessert

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 6 pears
- 750 ml red wine
- 100 g sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 cloves
Recipe
- 1 carefully peel the pears taking care not to remove the stalk.
- 2 place the pears upright in a pan; add the wine and the sugar.
- 3 gently simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
- 4 add the cinnamon stick and the cloves and continue to simmer for a further 20 minutes.
- 5 remove from heat and let cool.
- 6 serve the pears cold drizzled with the wine sauce from the pan.
