B. C. Apple Cake

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1/3 cup margarine
• 3/4 cup milk
• 1 egg
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1 pinch salt
• 1 1/2 cups apples, sliced
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 3 tablespoons margarine
• cinnamon

Recipe

• 1 mix sugar, margarine, egg and milk together.
• 2 combine dry ingredients and add to mixture.
• 3 beat well.
• 4 pour into greased and lightly floured 9"x9" cake pan.
• 5 spread apples closely together on top of batter.
• 6 mix margarine and brown sugar and dot over apples.
• 7 sprinkle with cinnamon.
• 8 bake at 350 deg.f for 30-35 minutes.
