Country Meat Pie

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon oregano
- 1 1/3 cups instant rice
- 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated, divided
Recipe
- 1 for crust:.
- 2 combine all crust ingredients and mix well.
- 3 pat meat mixture into a greased pie pan.
- 4 pinch 1-inch fluting around the edges.
- 5 for filling:.
- 6 combine the rice, tomato sauce, salt, water and 1/4 cup of the cheese.

- 11 return to oven and bake uncovered 10 to 15 minutes longer.
