Country White Bread

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 6 1/2-7 cups flour

Recipe

  • 1 dissolve yeast in water in large bowl. (i usually add a pinch of sugar and wait for the yeast to foam but the original recipe didn't call for this step.).
  • 2 add next 4 ingredients and 3 cups flour; beat until smooth.
  • 3 stir in remaining flour.
  • 4 knead 6-8 minutes.
  • 5 let rise in greased bowl until double.
  • 6 divide into 3 loaves; let raise again.
  • 7 bake at 375°f for 25-30 minutes.
