Amaretto Eggnog Bread Pudding

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 loaves challah
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup amaretto
  • 1 quart eggnog
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup raisins (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°.
  • 2 tear bread into chunks.
  • 3 beat the eggs into the eggnog and then add the amaretto and vanilla.
  • 4 pour over bread.
  • 5 with hands, mix until it has texture like very wet, soft stuffing.
  • 6 you may need to add more amaretto,for proper texture (it will set up as it bakes).
  • 7 add the raisins.
  • 8 bake about 45 minutes, uncovered.
  • 9 you may serve warm or cold.
