Baked Ziti - Aimees Adventures

Ingredients
- 8 ounces ziti pasta, uncooked
- 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese, fat free
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, reduced fat
- 1 (26 ounce) can hunts four cheese spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, fat free, shredded
Recipe
- 1 cook the zitti according to the package directions.
- 2 preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- 3 stir 1/2 of the sauce into the cooked noodles.
- 4 spoon 1/2 of the noodles into an 8x8 pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- 5 in a small bowl, combine the egg , cottage cheese, basil, parsley and 1 tablespoon of parmesan cheese.
- 6 spoon the cheese mixture evenly over the noodles.
- 7 top with remaining noodles and pour the rest of the sauce on top.
- 8 sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese.
- 9 bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly.
- 10 add mozzarella cheese and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
- 11 allow the dish to sit 5 minutes before serving.
