Bacon Candy

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 20 slices bacon (thick cut, about 1.5 lbs)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400 degrees f.
  • 2 line two rimmed baking sheets with foil.
  • 3 whisk sugar and chili powder together.
  • 4 arrange bacon strips on foil and coat with chili sugar.
  • 5 bake 20-25 minutes until carmelized and almost crisp.
  • 6 transfer to a rack set over a sheet of foil. cool completely. serve.
  • 7 note: this can be made earlier in the day. store at room temperature.
