Cranberry-ginger Dipping Sauce

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries, rinsed and dried
  • 1/4 cup chopped crystallized ginger
  • 1 tablespoon dry
  • 1 teaspoon soya sauce
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium saucepan, combine sugar with one cup water.
  • 2 bring to a boil over medium heat and cook five minutes.
  • 3 add cranberries.
  • 4 return to a boil.
  • 5 cook stirring once or twice just til their skins pop. (about 5 mins).
  • 6 stir in ginger, , soya sauce and cayenne.
  • 7 remove from heat.
  • 8 allow to cool.
  • 9 serve at room temperature.
