Cranberry-glazed Brie

Ingredients

- 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup currants
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/8 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 (35 ounce) brie round
- fresh fruit
Recipe
- 1 combine first 9 ingredients in a medium saucepan.
- 2 cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 8 minutes or until cranberries pop.
- 3 set aside, and let cool.
- 4 remove rind from top of brie, cutting to within 1/2-inch of outside edges.
- 5 place cheese on a baking sheet; spoon cranberry mixture over top.
- 6 bake at 300ºf for 20 minutes, or until cheese is softened, but not melted.
- 7 transfer cheese to a serving platter; garnish, if desired.
- 8 serve with assorted crackers.
