County Coffee Cake (cherry Or Apple)

Ingredients

• Servings: 9
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 3/4 cup butter
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 2 eggs
• 3/4 cup milk
• 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can cherry pie filling (or any other kind of fruit pie filling) or 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can apple pie filling (or any other kind of fruit pie filling)

Recipe

• 1 preheat oven to 350.
• 2 combine sugar, butter, flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl; mix well with an electric mixer on medium speed until mixture is crumbly.
• 3 set aside 1 cup for the topping.
• 4 beat together eggs and milk.
• 5 stir into crumb mixture that is still in the mixing bowl.
• 6 pour into a lightly greased 9x9" baking pan.
• 7 spread pie filling over the top and sprinkle with reserved 1 cup of topping.
• 8 bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes or until golden.
