Cowboy Shredded Beef

Total Time: 4 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 lbs boneless chuck roast
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon accent seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup butter (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 put all ingredients except butter in a cooking pot and simmer for 3 to 4 hours until very tender.
  • 2 stir and shred beef.
  • 3 (the original recipe now calls for stirring in 1 stick of butter which makes this very rich and delicious but also high in fat content! i leave it out and stir in 1/2 to 1 bottle of our favorite barbeque sauce sometimes) serve on buns.
