Coy's Chocolate Syrup

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 4 cups brown sugar
  • 4 cups white sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups baking cocoa
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 mix in a 6 quart kettle the first 6 ingredients until it is well blended; add another cup of water and stir again.
  • 2 bring to a boil and make sure its a rolling boil for at least five minutes. watch closely or it will boil over.
  • 3 add 1/4 cup vanilla.
  • 4 remove from heat.
  • 5 boil lids and rings.
  • 6 pour into sterile jars and seals.
  • 7 refrigerate after opening. makes 5 pints.
