Banana Crater Cake (lightened Up Version)

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 50 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 medium bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 cup plain yogurt or 1 cup light sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 cream together butter, oil and sugar.
  • 2 add beaten eggs and beat until smooth.
  • 3 add vanilla and mashed bananas. mix until smooth.
  • 4 sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and 1 tsp cinnamon and blend well.
  • 5 add dry ingredients to banana mixture, alternating with yogurt, ending with dry ingredients.
  • 6 pour half the batter into a greased or parchment paper lined 9" x 13" pan.
  • 7 combine cinnamon and brown sugar. sprinkle half of mixture over the batter in pan.
  • 8 top with half the chocolate chips.
  • 9 repeat layers.
  • 10 bake at 350 f for 45 to 50 minutes.
