Ann's Corn Chowder

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 (17 ounce) can cream-style corn
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 medium potatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 lb butter
- crumbled bacon (optional)
- sour cream (optional)
Recipe
- 1 saute onions lightly in butter.
- 2 add potatoes and water and cook until tender.
- 3 add corn, milk, salt and pepper.
- 4 heat, but do not boil.
- 5 top with crumbled bacon and sour cream, if desired.
- 6 this recipe may be doubled for seconds or for freezing.
