Ann's Corn Chowder

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (17 ounce) can cream-style corn
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • crumbled bacon (optional)
  • sour cream (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 saute onions lightly in butter.
  • 2 add potatoes and water and cook until tender.
  • 3 add corn, milk, salt and pepper.
  • 4 heat, but do not boil.
  • 5 top with crumbled bacon and sour cream, if desired.
  • 6 this recipe may be doubled for seconds or for freezing.
