Coq Au Vin (chicken In )

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1/4 lb smoked meat or 1/4 lb smoked chicken, chopped small
  • 3/4 cup scallion, chopped
  • 1 sliced carrot
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon marjoram
  • 1/2 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups burgundy
  • 2 chicken
  • 1/2 lb mushroom

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in large skillet.
  • 2 brown chicken pieces lightly and place in large pot.
  • 3 add to skillet and brown lightly, smoked meat, scallions, carrot and garlic.
  • 4 add flour, parsley flakes, majoram, bay leaf, salt, pepper, and and bring to a simmer.
  • 5 pour over chicken.
  • 6 the chicken should be covered.
  • 7 simmer over low heat for 1 hour.
  • 8 add mushrooms during last 5 minutes.
  • 9 your house will smell great.
  • 10 serve with rice.
