Copycat Zuppa Toscana

Ingredients

- 1 lb hot italian sausage
- 1/2 lb bacon
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 2 tablespoons garlic (minced)
- 4 russet potatoes (halved and sliced)
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons chicken soup base
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 bunch kale
Recipe
- 1 in a large pot crisp bacon, remove from pan and set aside.
- 2 add hot italian sausage to pan and brown and crumble
- 3 remove excess fat from pot and add onion and garlic.
- 4 crumble bacon then add to pot.
- 5 cook til onions are translucent.
- 6 add water, chicken soup base, and potatoes
- 7 cover and simmer til potatoes are fork tender
- 8 uncover and add milk and kale.
- 9 cook til kale is tender.
- 10 enjoy.
