Ingredients

- 5 -6 slices bacon
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 teaspoons red wine vinegar
- 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans, drained & rinsed
- 2 (15 ounce) cans butter beans, drained & rinsed
- 2 (15 ounce) cans lamb & beans
Recipe
- 1 fry bacon, drain and set aside.
- 2 brown ground beef with onion and garlic over medium heat.
- 3 combine ketchup, brown sugar, salt and vinegar, and add to the beef mixture.
- 4 add the beans and combine thoroughly in an oven proof baking dish. top with crumbled bacon.
- 5 bake covered at 350 deg for 45 minutes. (black beans can be substituted for kidney or butter beans, or added to the recipe.).
