Barb's Cold Comfort Tea

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon echinacea root
  • 1 tablespoon peppermint leaf
  • 1 tablespoon catnip, leaves
  • 1 tablespoon yarrow leaves
  • 1 tablespoon lemon balm leaves
  • honey, if desired
  • lemon, if desired

Recipe

  • 1 to decoct: add 1 cup of water and about 1/4 tsp echinacea to a pot and bring to a boil.
  • 2 simmer, covered for 20 minutes.
  • 3 combine the other herbs and add about 1 tsp of the mixture to the pot.
  • 4 stir well, remove from heat, cover and steep 10-15 minutes.
  • 5 strain and serve hot with honey and lemon, if desired.
  • 6 to brew: combine all ingredients.
  • 7 boil water, pour one cup over one tsp of herbs for each cub.
  • 8 steep 10-15 minutes.
  • 9 strain and serve hot with honey and lemon, if desired.
