Cowgirl Chili

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 2 lbs extra lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped fine
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 pinch hot pepper flakes
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 green peppers, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 (14 ounce) cans kidney beans (undrained)

Recipe

  • 1 brown beef and onion and drain off fat.
  • 2 mix spices and add to beef and onions.
  • 3 add tomatoes, gr peppers and celery, simmer 45 minutes.
  • 4 add beans and simmer another 10 minutes and serve.
