Baked Apple Butterscotch Pudding

Ingredients

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 1/2 cups sliced apples, mixed with
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
Recipe
- 1 in a saucepan, combine 1 cup brown sugar, and cornstarch, 1/4 cup butter.
- 2 stir in 1 cup water; cook over low heat until thickened.
- 3 pour mixture into a lightly buttered 10x6-inch baking dish.
- 4 in a bowl, combine sifted flour, baking powder, salt, and 2/3 cup brown sugar.
- 5 blend in 1/4 cup butter and the 1/2 cup milk, stirring just until dampened.
- 6 stir in the sliced apples with 1/3 cup brown sugar.
- 7 pour apple batter over syrup in baking dish.
- 8 bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
