Apple Cranberry Crisp

Ingredients

- 5 granny smith apples
- 1/3 cup fresh cranberries (blueberries or raspberries)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar (do not use dark brown)
- 1 -2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup oatmeal (old fashioned)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 11 tablespoons butter (slightly softened)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
- 2 lightly butter your 8"x8" baking dish.
- 3 combine apples, berries, sugar, light brown sugar in a bowl and add to the baking dish.
- 4 combine flour, oatmeal, and light brown sugars in a separate bowl.
- 5 add butter and mix with hands until crumbly.
- 6 pour melted butter over the apples.
- 7 cover apples with as much topping mixture as you feel necessary (you do not need to add the entire mixture).
- 8 bake for about 35-40 minutes until topping is golden in color, do not bake until fully browned.
- 9 serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream (or both).
