Apple Cranberry Crisp

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 5 granny smith apples
  • 1/3 cup fresh cranberries (blueberries or raspberries)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar (do not use dark brown)
  • 1 -2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal (old fashioned)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 11 tablespoons butter (slightly softened)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.
  • 2 lightly butter your 8"x8" baking dish.
  • 3 combine apples, berries, sugar, light brown sugar in a bowl and add to the baking dish.
  • 4 combine flour, oatmeal, and light brown sugars in a separate bowl.
  • 5 add butter and mix with hands until crumbly.
  • 6 pour melted butter over the apples.
  • 7 cover apples with as much topping mixture as you feel necessary (you do not need to add the entire mixture).
  • 8 bake for about 35-40 minutes until topping is golden in color, do not bake until fully browned.
  • 9 serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream (or both).
