Apple Cake

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 dash salt
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 cups apples (diced)
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 3/4 cup walnuts

Recipe

• 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
• 2 mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. set aside.
• 3 cream shortening and sugar, add flour mixture, milk, egg, and vanilla. mix well.
• 4 fold in diced apples.
• 5 pour into baking dish.
• 6 mix together topping ingredients and spread over cake batter, bake for about 40 minutes.
